CITY OF AZADI
SOUTH AFRICA
SOUTH AFRICA
Visionary Miss Mandana Sharifi new eco-metropolis, City of Azadi, is designed in perfect unison with the ancient rhythms of such parks as Kruger National.
"Azadi" means Freedom in Farsi — a name chosen to celebrate freedom for both humanity and nature to thrive together. Every structure, path, and system was engineered through biomimicry to amplify biodiversity rather than replace it. The city will be 100% carbon-negative, net-positive for wildlife, and powered entirely by renewable energy harvested from the sun, wind, and earth itself.

When the sun sets, Azadi transforms. Buildings emit soft bioluminescent light inspired by fireflies and glow-worms. Holographic art installations float above the savanna corridors, telling stories of African conservation heroes. From above, the city looks like a constellation of living stars resting gently on the ancient grasslands — never brighter than the Milky Way above. Azadi City is more than a city — it is a living proof that humanity and Africa's wild heart can thrive together in true freedom. Every resident, visitor, and animal is part of one interconnected ecosystem where technology serves nature, not the other way around.
This is the future South Africa is ready to build - and it already feels like home.
